Announcing the .net TemplateFramework

The .net TemplateFramework is a set of Components for implementing dynamic messaging in ASP.NET Applications.

Most applications need to notify users of events and results of actions that users take. Often these notification messages include dynamic values based on the Application's state, user input etc. Messages may be delivered to client on screen via HTML (An Order Confirmation Page, for example), or sent to the user's Email account (An Order Confirmation Email, for example).

The .net TemplateFramework includes Components that will let you implement complete dynamic messaging solution in your ASP.NET Applications with little or no effort. It provides functionalities like:

• Storage and Retrieval of Message Template via a common Interface, regardless of how and where the Message Templates are physically stored.
• Administration and Editing of Templates of your Projects via an ASP.NET Administration website that is included with the Framework.
• Powerful Template Editing with full featured Editor that automatically presents all available dynamic fields to a Template.
• Allows you to let your Application's users modify the Templates, once the application is deployed.
• Powerful parsing of Message Templates with dynamic values from Business or Data Objects.
• ASP.NET Web Controls to display the Parsed Messages.
• And a lot more cool features to make your development easier.

A Common Data Model for the storage of Message Templates is used by the Framework. It includes the Data Access Layer Components for Access, SQLServer, and File based storage. You may also define a custom storage by implementing a simple Interface.

The TemplateFramework provides centralized Template management via the Administration Website. You can connect to any of your ASP.NET Applications and Add/Edit/Remove Message Templates in the Application. Even after an application is deployed to a remote server, you will be able to connect to it from your Management application and Update Message Templates.

Technical Details:

• Developed in C# and Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 with latest patches.
• Developed for ASP.NET Application development. But can be used with any Microsoft .NET Application.
• The Administration Website is developed in ASP.NET and requires Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 on the Webserver.
• The Message Parser engine is also a .NET Library and requires Microsoft .NET Framework for functioning.
• Built in Data Access Layers include Access(Jet Engine), Sql Server and File based Storage.
