When the DataGrid is used as a Data Entry Interface, it is not uncommon for users to enter the wrong type of data in a column. An alpha character entered in a numeric field, an incorrectly formatted date, or data entered into a char field exceeding the field's defined size in the underlying table all cause error messages that do not provide the user with sufficient information to understand what they did wrong.

The DataGridEnhancer eliminates these error messages by preventing incorrect data entry. And, where an error message must be raised, the DGE presents user-friendly and informative messages designed to guide the user towards accurate data entry, thereby increasing efficiency and speeding the data entry process.

DataGridEnhancer performs two levels of Validation, Basic and Extended. The Basic Validation checks for the Data Type accuracy and does not require any code to function. The Extended Validation allows you to specify Attributes like Minimum and Maximum Values for a Column, Forcing a Text Field Upper Case or Lower Case only, Displaying a Custom or Foreign List for a Column etc.
