The DataGrid Classifies the ADO Data Type of a Column into the following base Data Types:
For example, the ADO types adChar, adVarChar, adWChar and adVarWChar, all will be treated as Text Data Type. The DGE automatically determines the base Data Type of the Column from its ADO Data Type, and Validates input as follows. Date Data Type
Text Data Type Checks if the length of the Field is within the defined size and if not, presents a Friendly error message. The Developer may also Force a Field to Upper Case or Lower Case characters only. Integer Data Type In Case of an Integer Data Type, the DGE does not allow any thing except numbers, not even decimal point. The decimal point is allowed in the case of a Decimal Data Type. Decimal Data Type Handles much like the Integer Data Type except that decimal point is allowed for these fields. Boolean Value
